Google Calendar http://calendar.google.com Great free online calendar. It can be embeded onto websites if you want to share it with others. It can also send you email and text notifications of the events you add.
Google Wave http://wave.google.com Google's new communication tool which is like email but with features not to be found in email such as seeing people type replies realtime, dragging and dropping pics (if you are using chrome or have google gears installed), and add maps.
Google Analytics http://www.google.com/analytics Great free way of keeping tabs of the traffic to your site. Even can tell you the OS, screen resolution, and browser of the visitors.
Google Hosting http://www.google.com/apps Google's hosting is called Google Apps. Allows you to host your email through google (gmail). Also gives you docs, calendar, sites, and google talk all with your domain address. The Standard edition is free but there is a pay version with more features too.
Google Maps http://maps.google.com Best maps site on the web. Mapquest and yahoo maps are no where near as good as google maps. Check out the street view feature.
Google Picasa http://picasa.google.com Free software for keep tabs of all your photos on your computer. Can even do some editing like red eye removal. If you use PicasaWeb as well then it can make it really simple and easy to manage your online albums as well.
Google Picasa Web http://picasaweb.google.com Free online picture album site. Great advertisment free way of sharing pictures. Unlike facebook and myspace picasa web does not require membership to view the pictures. You can choose to share them with all, only friends, or make them private.
Blogger http://www.blogger.com Google's blog site. Great way to rant or post about topics you are interested in. If you have your own website then Blogger even allows you to add it to the website.
Google Docs http://docs.google.com Web based office suite. Great way to colaborate on documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. Can even add pdf files.

Zoom Player http://www.inmatrix.com/ Great video player alternative to Windows Media Player. After initial install it will go out and download all the codecs you should need for playing most all kinds of videos on the computer. There is a free version that is on Cnet's download.com. Free version doesn't play DVDs. This is the video player I use on my laptop.
CD Burner XP http://cdburnerxp.se Free CD and DVD burning software. Works even on Windows 7. Great for taking care of your basic burning needs. It doesn't do video authoring. This software is great if you just need something that will take care of the majority of your burning needs.
WinRar http://www.rarlab.com WinRAR is a powerful archive manager. It can backup your data and reduce the size of email attachments, decompress RAR, ZIP and other files downloaded from Internet and create new archives in RAR and ZIP file format. No reason to buy it. Download the trial version and just keep using it. It will start to throw up an option to buy it but you can exit that and keep going.
